New Bike? Why not Author Instinct!

I like doing sport very much (cross-country-skiing, swimming, running and football ) and I thought about what to do this summer and two weeks ago I finally made a decision to by a new mountain bike, I was not well informed about the latest models (and technologies) so I simply entered locally well know specialized shop and asked for advice.

Photos of bike details included.

I read several reviews and there were particularly good reviews on new Medrida models, but in the shop I and shop-assistant were talking mainly about bikes from Merida but also from Author and Scott. I got a quite good information on differences and in the end I decided for new Author Instinct. Why? It was a simple decision for me - better quality both frame and other components of Author bike in comparison to the same-price models by Scott and Merida. Now I think I made a really good choice.

The thing I like about the bike the most is its weight - only 11,9 kg (and also its design, orange and silver mix is very nice). Derailleurs are made by SRAM and breaks which are used are great new HAYES Stroker Ryde disc hydraulic.

My speed-counter shows I covered a distance of at about 90 km and the bike performance is spectacular. Breaks are strong enough (after first kilometers of "warming up"), shifting is a accurate (with exception of level 1 on front derailleur but a warranty service next week will fix it up), bike sits on surface perfectly, its an wonderful experience.

See yourself, here are some photos.
