Integration of network components into solid information system - Bachelor thesis

12.6.2009 14:07:45 | Marek Sacha | University | del.icio.us

The purpose of this work was to provide Student’s church and Mantichora projects with a plug‐in support and also a possibility of system integration (also into otherinformation systems). This bachelor thesis compared many different technologies. Web services (SOAP, WSDL) – an existing industry standard – were chosen as the appropriate solution of the task and consequently implemented.

This work brought functional, stable and safe solution for inter‐component communication. Created code was reviewed and tested in real applications also by other members of development teams. The developers were provided with simple tutorials and examples of particular implementation.

New Bike? Why not Author Instinct!

29.6.2008 16:39:19 | Marek Sacha | Blog | Personal | del.icio.us

I like doing sport very much (cross-country-skiing, swimming, running and football ) and I thought about what to do this summer and two weeks ago I finally made a decision to by a new mountain bike, I was not well informed about the latest models (and technologies) so I simply entered locally well know specialized shop and asked for advice.

Photos of bike details included.

I read several reviews and there were particularly good reviews on new Medrida models, but in the shop I and shop-assistant were talking mainly about bikes from Merida but also from Author and Scott. I got a quite good information on differences and in the end I decided for new Author Instinct. Why? It was a simple decision for me - better quality both frame and other components of Author bike in comparison to the same-price models by Scott and Merida. Now I think I made a really good choice.

Tree isomorphism implementation

2.6.2008 21:14:01 | Marek Sacha | University | Programming | C++ | del.icio.us

Isomorphism of graphs in general and also an isomorphism of trees is definitely not a trivial problem. The task was to implement an effective algorithm to find out isomorphism of general trees (both rooted and not-rooted). The main algorithm runs in Θ(nlog(n)) time where n is the number of vertices in each tree.

Clustering of an aperiodical medical data

11.5.2008 13:01:18 | Marek Sacha | University | Data mining | del.icio.us

Abstract— There were provided aperiodical medical data representing time series of CO2 levels in blood, information about used drugs and manipulation with a patient after a head analysis. The task was to find possible typical clusters in these time series and also find whether drugs or manipulation influence CO2 levels. Made experiments using SOM and KMeans algorithms showed distribution of clusters and also importance and influence of drugs and manipulation factors.
